さっそく実行してみました。

Patch mode 5c to resolution 1920x1200 complete

# sudo gedit /etc/rc.local

exit 0
を最終行に付け加えました。
(touch /var/lock/subsys/localの下)

PCを再起動しましたが、解像度の変化がありません。
(解像度の変更で1920×1200が出現しません)
Xorg.0.logを見ても
(II) I810(0): Not using mode "1920x1080" (no mode of this name)
と表記されたままです。

これは、グラフィックドライバの問題なのでしょうか？
PCI-E限定になりますが、VGAを取り付ければ問題解消するのでしょうか・・・？
