  11. %description
  12. The Linux-native asynchronous I/O facility ("async I/O", or "aio") has a
  13. richer API and capability set than the simple POSIX async I/O facility.
  14. This library, libaio, provides the Linux-native API for async I/O.
  15. The POSIX async I/O facility requires this library in order to provide
  16. kernel-accelerated async I/O capabilities, as do applications which
  17. require the Linux-native async I/O API.

  33. # the compat-libaio-0.3.103 directory, and then builds the library again

  74. - rebuild

  76. - rebuild for -devel deps
  77. * Fri Feb 10 2006 Jesse Keating <jkeating@redhat.com> - 0.3.106-2.2
  78. - bump again for double-long bug on ppc(64)
  79. * Tue Feb 07 2006 Jesse Keating <jkeating@redhat.com> - 0.3.106-2.1
  80. - rebuilt for new gcc4.1 snapshot and glibc changes
  81. * Wed Jan 04 2006 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> - 0.3.106-2
  82. - Update to the latest sources, which contain the following change:
  83. Add a .proc directive for the ia64_aio_raw_syscall macro. This sounds a lot
  84. like the previous entry, but that one fixed the __ia64_raw_syscall macro,
  85. located in syscall-ia64.h. This macro is in raw_syscall.c, which pretty much
  86. only exists for ia64. This bug prevented the package from building with
  87. newer version of gcc.
  88. * Fri Dec 09 2005 Jesse Keating <jkeating@redhat.com>
  89. - rebuilt
  90. * Fri Apr 1 2005 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> - 0.3.104-2
  91. - Add Alpha architecture support. (Sergey Tikhonov <tsv@solvo.ru>)
  92. * Wed Mar 16 2005 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> - 0.3.103-6
  93. - Rebuild with gcc 4.
  94. * Mon Feb 14 2005 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> - 0.3.103-4
  95. - Build the library twice. Once with the old SONAME and once with the new
  96. one. This fixes the wrong SONAME problem by keeping a library around with
  97. the wrong name (libaio.so.1.0.0) and generating a new one (libaio.so.1.0.1).
  98. * Thu Oct 14 2004 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> - 0.3.102-1
  99. - update to 102. Fixes build errors on s390:
  100. - S390 asm had a bug; I forgot to update the clobber list. Lucky for me,
  101. newer compilers complain about such things.
  102. - Also update the s390 asm to look more like the new kernel variants.
  103. * Wed Oct 13 2004 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> - 0.3.101-1
  104. - update to 101. Fixes bz 133253 - libaio backwards compatibility severely
  105. broken.
  106. * Tue Sep 14 2004 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> - 0.3.100-1
  107. - update to 100. Fixes bz 129910. Add pseries and iseries to
  108. exclusivearch.
  109. * Tue Jun 15 2004 Elliot Lee <sopwith@redhat.com>
  110. - rebuilt
  111. * Tue Mar 30 2004 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> - 0.3.99-2
  112. - Apparently the 0.3.93 patch was not meant for 0.3.96. Backed it out.
  113. * Tue Mar 30 2004 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> - 0.3.99-1
  114. - Fix compat calls.
  115. - make library .so.1.0.0 and make symlinks properly.
  116. - Fix header file for inclusion in c++ code.
  117. * Thu Feb 26 2004 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> 0.3.98-2
  118. - bah. fix version nr in changelog.
  119. * Thu Feb 26 2004 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> 0.3.98-1
  120. - fix compiler warnings.
  121. * Thu Feb 26 2004 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> 0.3.97-2
  122. - make srpm was using rpm to do a build. changed that to use rpmbuild if
  123. it exists, and fallback to rpm if it doesn't.
  124. * Tue Feb 24 2004 Jeff Moyer <jmoyer@redhat.com> 0.3.97-1
  125. - Use libc syscall(2) instead of rolling our own calling mechanism. This
  126. change is inspired due to a failure to build with newer gcc, since clobber
  127. lists were wrong.
  128. - Add -fpic to the CFLAGS for all architectures. Should address bz #109457.
  129. - change a #include from <linux/types.h> to <sys/types.h>. Fixes a build
  130. issue on s390.
  131. * Mon Jul 7 2003 Bill Nottingham <notting@redhat.com> 0.3.96-3
  132. - fix paths on lib64 arches

  134. - optimization in io_getevents from Arjan van de Ven in 0.3.96-1
  135. - deal with ia64 in 0.3.96-2
  136. * Wed May 28 2003 Michael K. Johnson <johnsonm@redhat.com> 0.3.95-1
  137. - ppc bugfix from Julie DeWandel
