岡本＠大阪医科大です。
マザーボードはECSのK7S6Aですが同様のエラーでVine 2.6が
立ち上がりませんでした。

/etc/lilo.conf に append="acpi=off" を追加してlilo
すると立ち上がるようになりました。
(もしかするとBIOSのACPIの設定をいじるとなおるかもしれませんが)
