snamonと申します。
自宅で使用していたlinuxサーバーをバージョンアップさせた際に
生じた不具合の原因がどうしても解らず、ネット上のFAQ等も調べたのですが該当情報が見つからず
皆様のお知恵を拝借させて頂きたいと思いメールさせていただきました。
よろしくお願いします。
以前まで使用していたOSはVineLinux2.1でした。
DISK構成は以下の通りです。
HD：IDE(hdc) 1.5GB
SCSI(sda) 4.5GB
/ と /bootはhdc、その他/var/,home,/usr/local/等は
SCSIのディスクを使っておりました。
インストール時から両方のディスクを選択出来たので、特に問題なく
使用できておりました。
ところが、今回Vine Linux 2.6r1 (雑誌の付録）のCD-ROMを用いてインストールを
実施したところ、インストーラー上ではIDEのディスクからしかパーティション選択が
出来なくなっており、SCSIディスクが認識されておりませんでした。
仕方なくSCSIハードディスクの認識は後で行う事としてインストールを済ませたのです
が、これがどうも上手くいかないのです。
dmesgを見てもSCSIのハードディスクを認識している様子が無いのです。

BIOSの画面ではSCSIのCD-ROM2台と共にSCSIのHDもDドライブとして認識されている
のですが、Linux側では認識されていません。
また、dmesgの出力に在ります通り同じSCSIカードに接続されたCD-ROM２台は認識されて
います。
そこで切り分けの為に再度VineLinux2.1のインストールを実施したところ、インストーラー
上でSCSIのHDはsdaとして認識されました。
現在はVineLinux2.6をIDEのHDにインストールし、/と/bootのみパーティションを切り
ブートさせている状態です。
どなたか原因や対処法をご存知でしたら教えていただけませんでしょうか。
また、不足している情報等ありましたらご指摘願えますでしょうか。
