KMです。皆様ご回答誠にありがとうございます。
すっかり遅くなりまして申し訳ありません。
手元に問題PCが無くなかなかご紹介頂いた方法を試せずにいま
した。

title Vine Linux 3.2
	rootnoverify (hd0,5)
	chainloader +1

の部分を

title Vine Linux 3.2
	root (hd0,5)
	savedefault
 	chainloader +1

に書き換ると
『Booting 'Vine Linux 3.2'
root (hd0,5)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83
savedefault
chainloader +1
Error 13: Invalid or unsupported excutable format』

> Vine 4.0を起動して Vine 3.2 の /boot を見てみると

Vine4.0を立ち上げた状態からのvine3.2の/bootの覗き方を知
りませんので、
別のPCにvine3.2(シングルブート)をインストールして/bootの
中を見てvine3.2のカーネルのバージョン調べました。それで

title Vine Linux 3.2
	root (hd0,5)
	kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.31-0vl1.8
	initrd /boot/initrd.old.img

と書き換えてみましたら
『Booting 'Vine Linux 3.2'
root (hd0,5)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.31-0vl1.8
[Linux-bzImage, setup=0x1400, size=0x16089c]
initrd /boot/initrid.old.img
Error 15: File not found』

となってしまいました。

更にはvine3.2を再インストール(フルインストール)してみま
したが同様の結果でした。
