/どの様なメッセージが表示されますか?
 #この後(login失敗の後)、"runlevel 1"で再起動して"/var/log/messages"
 #を調べてみてはいかがでしょう。

 前回、中司さまより助言いただいて/var/log/messagesを確認しましたが、や
はりloginできない原因がわかりません。該当部分だけでも、ちょっとボリュー
ムがあるので、躊躇しましたが、敢て載せてみます。
お分かりなる方がいらしゃいましたら、ご助言をお願いいたします。

 cups,sshd,haldaemon,avahi-daemon,crond,anacron,atd,Postfixをchkconfig
--delしてrunlevel 3で再起動すると/var/log/messagesは次のように表示され、
loginのpassword入力までいきますが、cursorは点滅せず、 promptも出ず、入力
を受け付けません。
