どうも、山田＠大阪です。
先日UNIX USERの付録にあった「vine2.5」をインストールしてXを起動したのですが以下のような症状がでます。
１）コンソールからXを起動する
% startx
ここで「X(バッテン)」印のマウスカーソルがでます。
その後「矢印」のカーソルになるのですが、画面が横線のノイズで埋め尽くされます。
このときマウスカーソルの大きさから画面のサイズは「680x480」になっていように見えます。
２）ここで以下のキーを入力します。
Ctl + Alt + F1 <--- べつにF1でなくてもF2, F3...でも同じ
このとき画面が真黒になり何も表示されていません。
３）次に以下のキーを入力します。
Alt + F7
このとき画面のサイズが「1024x768」でWindowMakerが正常に表示されます。
４）WindowMakerを終了する。
このとき画面が真黒で何も表示されません。
ただし、コマンドの入力はできます。(shutdownなどのコマンドが実行できます。しかし画面には何も表示されません。)
５）もう一度「X」を起動する。
% startx
今度は一発で正常に「X」が起動できます。
しかし「X」を終了させると（４）と同じ現象になります。
以上のような症状です。何か原因が分かりましたらアドバイスをください。
